Bing is well known for its spectacular daily images and, for some time, has been available for Windows computers as an RSS-fed wallpaper theme pack. Now Microsoft is moving into enemy territory, making this service available for customers of the Apple-based operating system.
Microsoft’s Rob Margel has announced “Bring the beauty of Bing to your desktop. Get a wallpaper pack for your Mac featuring 7 gorgeous Bing homepage images”.
The new app is at version 1.0 and is a 13.3 MB download. The app is compatible with Apple Mac OS X 10.6, 10.7, 10.8 and also requires either Apple Safari, Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome web browser.
The wallpaper will then begin changing daily, keeping pace each new image as it is updated as the Bing image of the day. You can also grab this service for Windows 7 and 8 computers as well.
